Robert Edward "Red" Lawthers Sr., 92, of Ravenna, passed away on April 18, 2023. He was born on May 3, 1930 to the late George and Katherine {Geist} Lawthers.
In addition to his parents, Red was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Gloria and grandparents Peter and Mary Geist.
Red worked as a supervisor for Goodyear Aerospace. He was an avid golfer, and shot a hole-in-one at Mogadore Country Club. Red was a talented carpenter, and his other favorite pastime was supporting his grandkids' and great-grandkids' sporting events and life events. He loved life, and his family above all.
Red is survived by his son, Bob (Daneen) Lawthers of Uniontown; daughter, Debbie (Larry) Roberts of Ravenna; grandsons Tommy (Jackie) Roberts of Mogadore, Eddie Roberts of Cuyahoga Falls; great-grandchildren Hannah and Owen Roberts; longtime friends George Johnson of Florida and Richard Schaack of Kent; grandpuppy Missy.
