Robert Lee Dennison II
Sgt. Robert Lee Dennison II (58) went home to be with the Lord on May 12, 2009. Preceeded in death by brother, Steven Leroy Dennison, and Mother Anna Laura Dennison. He leaves behind a loving wife of 25 years, Dorothy Jane Dennison, three beautiful daughters; Robin (Gene) Coss, Nannette Rankin, and Kimberly (Scott) Bachman, Father, Robert Lee Dennison I and Stepmother Marjorie. Siblings; George (Connie) Dennison, Brenda (Bob) Shaffer, Anna Leca (Frank) McHood, Frank (Crystal) Dennison, and Jeremy Dennison. Grandchildren; Samantha, Ryan and Alyssa Coss, Matthew and Noah Bachman, and Pheobe and Piper Coss, along with nieces and nephews, and many other close family and friends. He served his county in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was in battle and courageously earned a purple heart, and bronze star, and many other honorable awards for the love of his country. Not only did he serve in the U.S. Army, but was also a faithful servant in the Lords Army. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed and never forgotten. And his life would not have been complete without his obedient companion Sassy. The family thanks everyone for their prayers, love, and support. In leiu of flowers the family requests a charitable donation to the Disabled American Veterans in his honor. Calling hours will be Friday, May 15, from 10 a.m. to noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will follow immediately at noon with Pastor Robert Seymour officiating.
