Robert E. Lee Sr.

Robert E. Lee, 77, of Akron, passed away on June 12, 2024. He was born on November 29, 1946 the son of the late Clifford and Mary Lee. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines. He retired from the City of Akron Motor Equipment after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing, hunting, drag racing and golfing. Robert had many achievements but his greatest was his love for his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 44 years, Carol Lee; and sisters Jeanette and Helen.

Robert is survived by his loving family, daughter Heather Mills; son Robert Lee II; grandchildren Brianna, Jessica, Paisley, and Fisher; great-grandchildren Grayson, Octavia, Hadley, and Amara; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 20th, from 4:00 to 7:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron).

Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville 44273) on Friday, June 21st, at 12:45.
