Robert M. Cox
Robert M. Cox, 88, passed away April 26, 2008. Robert was born in Akron on January 5, 1920 to the late Orin and Clara Cox and lived in the area his entire life. He proudly served in the Merchant Marines and retired from Firestone in 1982 after 42 years of service. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Earl. He will be deeply missed by his children, Marty (Jim) Haring of Ft. Myers, FL, Robert (Linda) of Nashville, TN, Ronald (Susan) of Akron, and Earl (Cheryl) of Akron; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4:30-7:00 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
