Robert Mcgunigal Sr.

Robert McGunigal Sr., 90, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2018. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, cooking, growing and canning tomatoes, listening to country music, watching the Indians, and the occasional Rolling Rock beer. Robert was people-oriented, had a quick-wit and great sense of humor. Bob retired from Mohawk Rubber after 28 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Martha; mother, Grace McClure; grandmother, Fannie Keyser; grandson, Chris Seifert; and siblings, Frankie Keen, Juanita Sample, Jack Williford. He was the last to go of many of his friends. Robert is survived by his 5 children, Janice (Barry) Puckett, Darlene Seifert, Bobby McGunigal Jr., David (Dianna) McGunigal, Janine (Neil) Hardesty; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and sister, Jean Buxton.

Visitation will be held from 10:30am -12:30pm on Wednesday, November 21 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service to begin at 12:30pm. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park to follow.
