Robert G. Miller, "Bob", age 82, of Akron, Ohio, died on December 7, 2022.
He was born on January 13, 1940 in Akron, the son of the late John and Valoise (nee Griffith) Miller.
Bob, first and foremost, loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and his loving and devoted companion of 25 years, Frances "Fran" (nee Harmon) Zimmerman. He was a devout Christian and family oriented.
He excelled as a salesman all of his life, he had accolades and awards for his salesmanship. He enjoyed eating out and flea markets. Bob was known for his jokes and sense of humor, he was a very likable guy to everyone who met him. He had two dogs that he loved dearly, Chloe and Rosie.
In addition to his companion, Bob is survived by his children, Robert (Heidi) Miller and their children and Marla (Brad) Cole. He was referred to as "Gum"Pa to Marla and Patrick's children, Christie (Brad) Michael, Brittany (Rashad) Howell, Kylin Prince, Stephen Miller, Kirstie Evelsizer, Amber Miller, Hope (Christian) Rawley, Kaitlyn Cole, Malachi Evelsizer, Braden Cole and Micah Cole; and several great-grandchildren; his former wife, Vonda (nee Alford) Miller; and his former daughters-in-law, Susan Prenatt and Brenda Miller.
His brothers also survive, Terry "Mike" Miller and Danny (Betty) Miller.
Other than his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sons, Patrick and Owen Miller; and his brother, John "Jack" (Rose) Miller.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305 on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
Family and friends may be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 12:00 - 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral costs.
