Robert C Miller Sr.

Robert C. Miller Sr., 92, aka: Bob, Ole Man, Pappy and probably a few other names, sadly passed away on Thursday February 17, 2022. He was born on February 10, 1930 in Rittman, Ohio the son of William and Mary Baker. Robert graduated from Hower High School and worked as a mechanic and truck driver. His passion and love was stock car racing. He started racing at age 23 and won many races throughout his racing career. Even at the age of 84 he won his last race. Racing was his life. Car 54 and Car 53 became a family tradition.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Betty Provance; daughter Diana; brothers Charles, and Paul; and sister Gertrude.
Robert is survived by his sons Bob Jr. (Jennie), Paul (Kay), Mike (Janet), Tim, Chuck and Ray; grandchildren Paul, Mike, Lisa and Cindy; great-grandchildren Lauren, Rachel, Carson, Ty, Eli, Josie and Jacey; and many nieces, nephews and many beloved friends.
Visitation will be held Friday (February 25, 2022) from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron).
Memorial Service will be held Saturday (February 26, 2022) at 1:00PM at Wintergreen Ledges Church of God (1889 Vernon Odom Blvd., Akron).
Interment will take place a Glendale Cemetery.
