Robert J. Mitchell

Robert J. "Bobby" Mitchell, 41, of Akron, passed away on February 4, 2024. He was born on November 18, 1982 the son of Susan and Robert Mitchell. Bobby graduated with the class of 2001 from Field High School. He worked for several years at East Manufacturing and Iron Workers Local # 17. Bobby could fix anything and was known as a "Jack of all Trades". He enjoyed listening and playing music with his guitar. Bobby would brighten up a room with his sense of humor, smile, laughter and was always caring for others.

Bobby is survived by his loving family, his parents, Susan and Robert Mitchell; siblings Dana (Matthew) Plambeck, Robyn (Anthony) Farris, and Derek Mitchell; son Robert J. Mitchell Jr.; his best friend and significant other of 12 years, Dina See; and many other relatives, nieces, nephew and many beloved friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 16th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 6:00pm.
