Robert Van Ratliff, 63, of Akron, passed away on November 21, 2021. Bob was born in Akron on December 10, 1957 to the late Van and Aileen Ratliff. He retired from The Lamp Post after many years as a cook. In his free time, Bob loved to be outdoors working in his garden. He was devoted to his family and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Lora Ratliff; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Robert Heidish Jr.
Bob is survived by his sons, Robert, Dylan, and Daniel Heidish; brother, Ronald (Barbara) Ratliff of Peoria, AZ; and sister-in-law, Sharon Green. Bob loved his dogs. He leaves behind his beloved Waylon and is now reunited with his dog, Scooby and raccoon, Lobo.
Per Bob's wishes, there will be no formal services. His family and friends will privately celebrate his life at a later date.
