Robert E. Reynolds

On Monday, January 4, 2021, Robert (Bob) E. Reynolds, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away at the age of 80.

Robert was born on October 9, 1940 in Akron, Ohio to Floyd and Sarah Reynolds. He worked for Consolidated Freightways from 1964-1995.

He married Nancy Anne Gorday on June 6, 1964. They raised one son together, John.

Robert had a passion for Ham radio. He was a part of many radio clubs and participated in many conventions. He was known to the radio community as KA8NPR. He was also an avid roller skater and went to many rinks all over NE Ohio. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He was one to tell the best silly stories, with a straight face, making you believe every word he said.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Floyd, his mother Sarah, and his brother Floyd (Bud). He is survived by his wife Nancy of 56 years, his son John (Melanie), three grandchildren, Rob (Kaeleigh), Lauren (Tye) and Olivia, one great grandchild, Tj, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH from 2pm-4pm. A private service will be held at a later time by the family. He will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.
