Robert Dale Shull, Jr.

Robert Dale Shull, Jr., 69, passed away unexpectedly February 19, 2023 at his residence. Born in Massillon, Ohio to Robert, Sr. and Jean (Rowe) Shull, he was a lifelong resident of the Portage Lakes area. Bob was a proud U. S. Navy career veteran of 25 years, with many tours around the world. After retirement he worked in security for the Summit County Library System. Bob was a kind hearted neighbor and friend who enjoyed sailing at Portage Lakes and also the Florida Keys, collecting vintage cars, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by his parents, he will be sadly missed by his son, Benjamin (Tina) Shull; grandchildren, Anna, Dale; siblings, John (Rebecca) Shull, Linda (Rick) Snyder; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Military honors for Bob will begin at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, OH 44273. A reception for family and friends will follow in the Cellar Room at the Galaxy Restaurant, 201 Park Center Dr., Wadsworth, OH 44281. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Bob's name to the Rotary Club of Portage Lakes.
