Robert L. Tracy

Bob L. Tracy, 78, passed away on December 30, 2016 due to pneumonia. A lifetime Akron resident, he was born on January 17, 1938 to the late Harold and Violet Tracy. Bob retired from Ohio Bell with over 30 years of service and over 10 years with Smucker's. He was an avid OSU and Cavs fan, enjoyed playing golf and boating on Portage Lakes.

Bob is preceded in death by mother-in-law, Evelyn Baughman; step-mother, Mildred Tracy; step-father, Bill Waring; and sister-in-law Jean Tracy. He is survived by loving wife of 29 years, Nancy; children, Terri Walker, Dave (Tari) Tracy, Kelli (Tony) Williams, Steve (Jill) Tracy, Mike (Melissa) Hooper; grandchildren, Brandi, Brittani, Justin, Tara, Mike, Sam, Tyler, Trevor, Hannah, Caleb; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Ken Tracy; and cat, Angie.

Family will welcome guests for a memorial visitation on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 2-4 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A service will take place at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's honor to the Ohio Parkinson's Foundation.
