Robert William Tucker, "Bob", age 92 of Akron, Ohio, died on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Akron City Hospital.

He was born on June 11, 1930 in Massillon, Ohio, the son of the late Freeman and Pearl (nee Moody) Tucker.
Bob was an honorably discharged US Navy veteran during the Korean War.
Mr. Tucker worked for the AC&Y Railroad for 39 years, retiring in 1989. In his early years, Bob was a boy scout and eventually became an adult leader for many years. He was a proud member of the Masons. He liked to fish, camp and fall walks on Sundays.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, the former Shirley Wetzel, whom he married on July 6, 1957; his children, Brian (Deborah) Tucker I, Jackie (Vernon) Baronie Sr and Bruce (Michelle) Tucker; his grandchildren, Brian Tucker II, Vernon Baronie Jr, Jake Baronie, Bryce Tucker, Brett Tucker and Brandy (Kyle) Archer; and one great-grandchild on the way.
Other than his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his twin, Donald Tucker-at birth.
There will not be any calling hours or services and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
