Robert V. Beebe "Bob"
Robert V. Beebe, 63, of Akron, passed away June 1, 2013. He was born in Long Beach, California on September 16, 1949. Bob retired from Metro Regional Transit Authority where he delivered busing schedules. He was a member of Summit County REACT and the DAV. He served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross and was a proud member of a funeral honor guard.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Fugate-Frye and father, James Fugate; and brother, Tommy Morton Beebe. He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Carol Jackson and Deborah (Ted) Ray; sister-in-law, Diane Beebe; nephews, Scott (Vicki) and Jason (Becky) Zelesnik; great-nephew, Curtis Zelesnik; and many other nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, June 8 from 10-12 followed by a 12 noon funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Doylestown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to DAV, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
