Robert V. Kazar, 79, of Akron passed away June 2, 2007. Robert was born to the late William and Anne Rose Kazar and raised in Battle Creek, MI. He retired from Babcock & Wilcox after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, member and usher at St. Matthew Church. He enjoyed golfing, camping and wood working but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Joseph and son-in-law Rick Fidler. He leaves behind his loving wife, of 53 years, Genevieve (nee Creasy); children Robert (Melissa), Lorraine Fidler, Jeff, Barbara (Patrick) Duff, Michael and Steven (Aundria); grandchildren Michelle, Kevin, Ashley, Julia, Nicole, Kathleen, Margaret, Michael, Lauren, Logan and Luke. Funeral services will take place at the St. Matthew Catholic Church on Wednesday June 6 at 11 AM ALL TO MEET AT CHURCH. Family and Friends may call at the Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd on Tuesday from 5 - 8 pm. Inurnment will be at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Lung Association of Ohio, Regional Processing Center, 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd # 260, Independence OH 44131-2340.
