Robert Duane Worden, 83, of Homerville, passed away March 27, 2025. Robert was born in Zanesville, Ohio on April 18, 1941 to the late Duane Worden and Rosella Greene. Robert worked for his father at Worden's Cycle Shop in Akron for over 25 years before starting and retiring from his own business, Bob's British Bikes. He was an original founder of The Golden Wheels Motorcycle Club, which existed for over 30 years, and a lifetime member of the AMA Motorcycle Association. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his Triumph Bonneville and Harley Davidson motorcycles, going to the casinos, watching NASCAR, his two cats, bird watching, and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara Worden, step-father Benjamin Greene, step-mother Juanita Worden, and daughter-in-law Christine Worden; He is survived by daughter, Kimberly Hooper (Richard), daughter, Kay Lucas (Paul), son, Duane Worden (Roxanne). He is also survived by sister Sandra Kittle and brother Gary Greene; grandchildren: Jonathan Hooper, Kaytlyn Lumpp (Anthony), Morgan Hooper, Justine Dunn (David), Ryan Plucinski (Kellee), Jesse Plucinski, Harley Lucas (Katie), Jenna Worden, Madison Worden (Danny), 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind special friends Gary "Big G" McIntire and Ken Lower.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 4-6pm followed by a 6pm memorial service at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 North Canton Rd, Akron, Ohio, 44305. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society.
