Roberta A. Marinos, "Bobbie" , age 83 of Akron, Ohio, died on February 24, 2022.
She was born on April 19, 1938 in Barberton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank and Frances (nee Zupec) Battay.
Bobbie liked to travel to Florida, listen to polka music on Saturdays, cooking and loved family get-togethers. Her greatest joy was being the best wife and mother she could be. She loved providing for her family. Her grandchildren were her life.
Roberta was a former member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Ellet and she attended Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with her family.
Survivors include her two children, Martin "Marty" (Karen) Marinos and Laura (William "Bill") Corpas Sr.; her grandchildren, Jessica Corpas, William "Billy" (Megan) Corpas Jr., Mitchell Marinos and Malia Marinos.
Bobbie's two sisters also survive, Jean Sobul and Yvonne Gialombardo.
Other than her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by her husband Doyle Marinos, in October 2015, they were united in marriage on January 17, 1958.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Road, Uniontown, Ohio 44685, where Rev. David R. Durkee will celebrate Roberta's life.
