Roberta K. Robertson

On Thursday, October 20, 2022, Roberta "Robbie" K. Robertson, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away, peacefully, at her home in Stow, Ohio.

She was a retiree from The University of Akron Law Library with 38 years of service. She enjoyed going to the movies with her husband and watching her favorite Hallmark channel. Roberta loved to travel, she even went on a cross country road trip with her husband and enjoyed playing the slot machines in Las Vegas when she visited her daughter. She appreciated music, especially listening to her husband play her songs on his guitar and listening to classic rock and old records. She also loved to cook and bake anything in the kitchen especially during the holidays.

Roberta was best known for her love and compassion, always wanting to help people, having a positive spirit and a great sense of humor.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce and their daughters, Erin, and Alicia (Eric) Bernhardt; grandsons, Ethan, and Elliot, as well as, many family members and cherished friends.

A memorial service and calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where a brief ceremony will take place at 3:30 pm.

We are requiring everyone to wear masks which will be provided if needed.

Refreshments and lite fare will be served.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating on her behalf to the Stow Fire Department who helped our family many times over the last 2 years.

The Robertson family will also hold a Celebration of Life party for Roberta in late Spring/early Summer per her wishes.
