Rodney Craig Biggie, "Rod", age 71 of Akron, Ohio, died on April 23, 2020 at Akron City Hospital.
He was born on June 23, 1948 in Barberton, the son of the late Robert William and Kathryn (nee Hyre) Biggie.
Rod was a welder and worked for several places. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
Mr. Biggie was a member of the Clearview Methodist Church in Akron.
Survivors include his children, Michelle (fiance: Timothy Nester) Biggs, Shari (Roger) Wright, Kevin (Jacklyn) Dean, Lisa (Patrick) Drumm and Michael Cooper; his grandchildren, Valerie (Jose), Autumn, Brittany, Bethany, Brycen and Ethan; his great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Abel, Aiden and Mason.
Rod's brothers also survive, Michael (Nancy) Biggie and Rick (Shirley) Biggie, as well as, his aunt, Anna Ruth Biggie; and many nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by his wife, the former Jeanette Reed; and his great-grandson, Caden.
There will not be any calling hours or services and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
