Roger Dale Adkins

Roger Dale Adkins, age 61 of Akron passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022. He was born in West Hamlin, WV on July 2, 1960, the son of the late James O. and Ellen M. {Sowards} Adkins.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his sister Debbie Hartline.
Roger is survived by his love of 37 years, Jo; children Jennifer Brown, Jamie (Clinton) Olson and Brian Adkins; grandson Brayden Brown; brother James (Renee) Adkins; nieces, nephews, great-nephews, extended family members and friends.
Roger was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. His family was his whole world. He had a passion for cooking, and loved to "catch and release" on his fishing trips.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, 44305 from 11:00 a.m. until the memorial service begins at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roger's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, https://donate3.cancer.org. Well-deserved military honors will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on a June date, soon to be determined. Please check back for these service details.
