Roger B. Morrison, 75, went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2013.
Roger loved his motorcycle and the Blue Ridge Parkway. He had been employed with the Portage County Sheriff's Department and the Kent State Police Department. Roger had been the owner/operator of Pizza Rollups for 20 years. He was also a long-distance truck driver and president and CEO of Republic Oil Company in Columbus, OH.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta, of 47 years; sons, Bruce (Teresa) Morrison and Jeff Siebert; daughter, Jan (Ken) Ruffier; grandchildren, Sharon Brown, Chris (Kady) Yoder, Matthew (Amber) Morrison, Connor Ruffier, Kendra Ruffier; great-grandchildren, Scotty Brown, Kassidy Yoder, Matthew Morrison, Jr., and Chase Yoder.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 2800 Corporate Exchange Dr. Ste. 260, Columbus, OH 43231-8617.
