Roger E. Patterson
Roger E. Patterson, 63, passed away March 27, 2009. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and retired from the Norton Co. after 22 years of service. Roger is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Tallmadge Ward, and participated in the Civil Air patrol. The last years of his life revolved around his grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Velda; and sister, Karen. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Diana; daughters, Rhonda Patterson and Terri Joy (Dean) Weichert; son, Michael Patterson; step-daughters, Jennifer Rectenwald and Samantha Burch; step-sons, Todd (Tammy) Smith and Craig (Teresa) Burch; 7 grandchildren; 5 brothers; 3 sisters; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 31, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N.Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be Wednesday, April 1, at 11:30 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior, with Bishop John Crabtree officiating.
