Roger Foster

Roger "Bub" Foster, 82, of Tallmadge, passed away on August 20, 2021. After serving in the U.S. Navy for four years, he returned home and met his future wife, Cheryl Blaydes at LuJan's Drive In on the Tallmadge Circle. They married on December 4, 1965 and were happily married for 55 years. Bub spent most of his career as an independent mechanic. He loved restoring cars, drag racing, and fishing. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
Bub was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Leon and Marjorie Foster; and son, Jeffrey Foster. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl; daughter, Jessica Foster; son, James Foster; grandchildren, Cheyenne (Joey), Shaylee (Jonathan), Bryan (Amber), David (LeAnn), and Lynae; great-grandchildren, Lakota, Kyrin, Liam, Novalyn, Oliver, Selena, Raiden, and Viktor; sisters, Jacqueline Fox and Janet Krietz; and stepsisters, Sherri and Jennifer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 4-6 followed by a 6 p.m. memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
