Roger L. Williams, 67, passed away December 29, 2021 following several years of declining health. Roger was very generous to everyone he met and always had a big laugh.
He was born on October 1, 1954 in Akron, Ohio to loving parents, Maralouise and Edgar Williams. Sister, Christine S. Rose and brother, Jeffery S. Williams both predeceased Roger. Surviving are nephew, Foster Rose, Jr.; brother-in-law, Foster Rose; cousins, Ann E. Karpen, Barbara Mays, Roy Williams, Martha Rose, Nikki Burns, Terry Doolittle and Kevin Doolittle; several close friends and caregivers.
Roger graduated from Springfield High School and enjoyed an early career in the rubber industry working for General Tire and Rubber Company before going on to use his people skills as a salesperson in the rubber, steel and auto industries. His jobs gave him reason to drive all over Ohio, and he knew every route and the best restaurants thereon!
He enjoyed traveling the country, especially to Miami, Florida to visit his Aunt Flo. Roger also enjoyed tending his roses, telling detailed family stories and helping friends and family with all types of car and food advice.
Per his request, cremation has taken place and a scattering of his ashes in Williams, Arizona will take place at a later date.
