Romilda I. Hammond, 84, of Akron, passed away on July 28, 2018. She was born in Alabama on April 4, 1934, but lived most of her life in the Akron area. Many will miss Romilda, and more are awaiting her.
Romilda will be deeply missed by her children, Terry "Rick" (Cheryl) Hammond, and Becky Pope; brothers, Garry (Michelle) Derrick, and James (Kathy) Derrick; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are welcome to Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305 to visit on Tuesday July 31, 2018 from 11am to 1pm. A funeral ceremony will take place at Newcomer at 1pm. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens 4724 State Rd., Peninsula, OH 44264.
