Ronald K. Caldwell, 84, was born to Angus and Sara (Blevins) Caldwell on May 9th, 1939. He survived having polio as a child and graduated from Southeast High School in 1957. He was a life resident of Portage County and a Brimfield resident for more than 50 years. He was a proud member of AFSCME Local 1360 and even when promoted to supervision never forgot his Union roots and always looked after his crew. He retired from the City of Akron Watershed division in 1998 with more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed quiet time at home with his wife Linda and pets Dog Benji and Cat Nickie.He was a member of the First Church of God in Tallmadge and went on a mission trip to Guatemala to help build a church. He is survived by his wife, Linda (McHood) of 38 years; children, Mike (Shannon), Patty (Larry), Brett (Jeannie), and Brian (Melissa); eleven grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the First Church of God 464 Northeast Ave Tallmadge Ohio on January 19th from 10am to 11am with funeral immediately following. There will be no graveside service.
