Ronald A. Carmack

Ronald Alan Carmack, age 72, of Akron, passed away unexpectedly on Monday July 22, 2024. He was born in Akron, Ohio on July 14, 1952 to the late Herbert and Gloria (Lettie) Carmack. He graduated from Ellet High School in 1971 then served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a retired electrician and was a member of Local 306. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, shooting pool and being in the outdoors. He was an avid Cleveland Sports Fan and loved to watch his Cleveland Browns. Ron enjoyed being with family but most of all he loved being a grandpa.

He is survived by his wife Margaret; children Joyce (David) Shyjka, Wayne Kelsey, Missy (Corey) Mace; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; siblings Susan Herchenroeder, Richard (Nancy) Carmack, Robert (Stephanie) Carmack, Christine (Jerry) Masters; and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his son Bert Kelsey.

Visitation will be Tuesday July 30th from 4 PM-6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home and services begin promptly at 6 PM.
