Ronald R. Goldinger, 85, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 15, 1938 the son of the late Kenneth and Mabel Goldinger Sr.
He was a man of faith and was a member of Akron Baptist Temple for many years. Ron proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy. He worked for Chestnut Ridge Dairy and retired from Acme Warehouse after many years of dedicated service. Ron enjoyed traveling out west and road trips with his family. He looked forward to sitting at the kitchen table and sharing his morning cup of coffee and stories with his wife, Darlene. He never failed to brighten up a room with his smile and laughter as well as his many imitations, sound effects and "Corny Dad Jokes".
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved son Bradley Goldinger; and siblings Kenneth Goldinger Jr., and Sandy Wagner.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Darlene Goldinger; sons Bruce (Jeri) Goldinger and Steve (Gina) Goldinger; grandchildren Jordan (Vivian) Goldinger, Logan (Kasey) Goldinger, Nicole (Antonio) Goldinger and Brittany (Preston) Goldinger; first great-grandson Liam Goldinger; as well as a little angel on the way due in February; sisters Debbie LeMaster and Kathy Ross; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday on July 14th from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131N. Canton Rd., Akron) where Memorial Services will be held at 12:00pm with Pastor Ben Adams officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
