Ronald Colburn Hertzog, "Ron", age 89 of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, died on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at his home.
He was born on April 18, 1931 in North Hampton, Ohio, the son of the late George and Zilpha (nee Spicer) Hertzog.
Ron was a retired machinist for Kent Machine Company in Stow, Ohio for many years. He enjoyed watching sports, he was an avid Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers fan.
Survivors include his children, Raymond (Sharon) Hertzog, Jefferey Hertzog and Jennifer (William) Cooper; his six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Other than his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, the former Charleen Rhinehart on August 23, 2018, they were married for 64 years before she passed away; and his two sisters, Georgia Lee Carol and Joy Hertzog.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 12:30 - 1:00 PM, there will be a brief service at 1:00 PM.
There will then be a brief graveside service following at 2:00 PM at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, where he will be buried next to his wife.
