Ronald "Butch" Hickman, died November 20, 2022 at the age of 79. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Mary Hickman and five siblings, Jerry and Robert Hickman, Evelyn Blosser, Mary Kay Sharp, and Millie English. Butch is survived by two children, Ron (Michelle) Hickman and Gina (Mark) Llewellyn and two grandchildren, Logan Hickman and Kaitlyn Llewellyn. Butch also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much, especially Kary and Anita Sharp who spent much time visiting with him and taking good care of him. Butch will also be missed dearly by many good friends, especially Rick Cowgill, who was like a brother to him and cared for him daily this last year.
Butch graduated from St. Mary's High School and was a proud member of the St. Vincent-St. Mary's Athletic Hall of Fame for football. Butch loved playing, coaching, and watching all sports, especially teams from Ohio. Butch also enjoyed hosting gatherings at his home and gambling and fishing with his friends, especially those friends he worked with at U.P.S. Butch's family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff at Kindred Hospice who treated him like family and took such great care of him.
Per Butch's request, there will be no public services at this time, instead, the family will have a celebration of life next spring at one of his favorite fishing places.
