Ronald J. Tomasik, 52, of Akron, passed away September 14, 2009 at his residence. Ron enjoyed fishing, gardening and grilling. He worked at Weatherchem for the last 11 years as a tool maker, following a family legacy of machinists. He is survived by his parents, Jerome & Delores Tomasik; wife, Linda Tomasik; daughter and son-in-law, Eva & Brian Orlski; sons, Adam and Andrew Tomasik; sisters, Carole (Ray) Beery, Kathy Makary and Sherri (Jim) Kalcic; brothers, Rick, Edward, Tom (Jan) and John (Coletta) Tomasik; and life-long friend, Bill Prock. Calling hours will be Sunday, September 20 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Jim Schuman officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery, Brimfield.
