Ronald "Ronny" J. Lancianese, 49, of Akron, passed away peacefully with his beloved mother and siblings at his side on June 30, 2019. Ronny was an independent, strong willed and strong headed man with a dedicated work ethic. He had a contagious laugh, and a wonderful sense of humor. Ronny was a very intelligent and competitive man, who enjoyed reading, sports, and playing cards. He loved to spend Sundays with his buddies. Even though Ronny was the youngest of his siblings, he continuously showed his family strength and courage, and served as their rock. Towards the end, he was determined to be his own Dr. Ron.
Ronny was preceded in death by his father and best friend, Ronald L. Lancianese, with whom he cherished baseball memories at Sammis Park; grandmother, Mary Ciccolini; and uncle, Tom Lancianese.
He will be deeply missed by his mother, Concetta Lancianese; siblings, Salvatore (Lorine) Napoli, Nina (Pat) Horan, and Michelle (Tom) Tersigni; nieces and nephews, Lorine (Mason) Donovan, Kristina (Grant) Napoli-Paugh, Nicholas Napoli, Tommy (Tara) Tersigni, Vince (Allison) Tersigni, Angelena (Frank) Tersigni-Simko; many, many great-nieces and nephews; and many friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and oncology department at the Cleveland Clinic, and the staff at Justin T. Rogers Hospice Center for their compassion and support.
Visitation will take place on Monday July 8, 2019 from 9am until 11:30am at Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A funeral mass will take place at 12pm at Blessed Trinity 300 E. Tallmadge Ave, Akron, 44310. Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.
Memorial donations may be made in Ronny's honor to the Blessed Trinity Parish at the address listed above.
