Ronald "Ron" E. Mettler, age 53 of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on November 9, 2021.
Ron was born in Southgate, California on June 19, 1968 to Gene and Darlene (Van Hoose) Mettler. He graduated from Field High School in Brimfield, Ohio with the class of 1987. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Ohio sports teams and NASCAR. Ron loved spending time with his boys as well as his family and friends. He enjoyed riding his Harley and chilling with his dog, Jaxon. He was a past member of the Turner Club in Akron. Ron never knew a stranger and became friends with everyone he met.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Laura Barnes and Neva Dewey, grandfather, Russ Dewey, beloved uncle, Jimmy Van Hoose. Additionally, his uncles, William Mettler, Dave Bassett, and William Johnson, and aunt, Catherine Johnson.
Ron will be deeply missed by his parents, his loving wife of 19 years, Teresa (Bowman), sons, Hunter Mettler, Kyle Carano, and Anthony Carano, sister, Melissa (Red) Krager, mother-in-law, Mary Bowman, sisters-in-law, Debbie Bowman, Cris Jones, and Michelle (Jim) Clark, and multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Friends and family may come to call on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 11-1 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in Akron. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m.
