Ronald O. Morris

Ronald O. Morris, 89, of Mogadore, passed away on July 14, 2024. He was born December 8, 1934, the son of the late Wendell and Helen Morris of Jackson County, WV. Ron was a man of faith and was a longtime member of Calvary Temple where he was a respected member and served on the board for many years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Ron was an avid Mogadore Wildcats fan. He also enjoyed watching the Cleveland teams, the Browns, Indians and the Cavaliers. Ron was on local bowling leagues for many years and was a competitive bowler. Ron had many achievements but his greatest was his love for his family and he always looked forward to family get-togethers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 52 years, Louise Morris; beloved daughter Helen Trennell; and sisters Hazel Apenzeller and Patricia Fouty.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Cahill; grandchildren Jennifer (Haseeb) Shaikh, Ryan VanHorn, Jordan Eldredge, Kyle Eldredge, Andrew Cahill, and Alec Hower; great-grandchildren Earl Baker, Ethan Baker and Lola VanHorn; brother Bill Morris; his church family; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 22nd, at Calvary Temple (3045 Albrecht Ave., Akron 44312) from 12:00pm to 2:00pm where a memorial services will be held at 2:00pm with Pastor John Fairchild officiating.
