Ronald O. Bennett "Gunner"
Ronald O. Bennett "Gunner", 59, of Akron, passed away October 28, 2011 after a long illness. He was born in Akron on January 16, 1952. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Frye, mother, Wonetta Frye (Bennett), and son, Jason Bennett Tate. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sharon; daughters, Melissa Nelson, Charity (Kevin) Fisher, Nita (Chuck) Carder, and Cherl McDonald; son, Ronald Bennett, Jr.; mother-in-law, Hope Wolfe; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many friends and close family. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1st from 5-7 followed by a 7:00 p.m. memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Military Honors provided by Mogadore VFW Post 8487. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ronald's family.
