Ronald P. Evans, 69, of Tallmadge, passed away January 17, 2010 at his residence. He was born October 19, 1940 in Sharon, Pennsylvania to the late Paul & Dorothy (Dresch) Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his best friends, Joe Ostrowski and Joe Elekes. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Suzanne Evans; step-children, Renee (Tom) Watson, Vickie (Al) Cortez, Lucky (Brent) Tisch and Lawrence E. Hartline; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Ann) Evans; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Herb Rush; and his beloved dogs, KC Jones, Pepe, Duke, Cheyene and Annie Warbucks. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Combs and Fr. John Hengle officiating. Interment will follow at Tallmadge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 4904 Quick Rd., Peninsula OH 44264.
