Ronald L. Patton

Ronald L. Patton, 74, passed away May 27, 2023 at home with his wife by his side. Born in Toledo, OH to Christopher and Jean (Bayman) Patton, he resided in the Akron area all of his adult life. Ron was a U. S. Army Veteran and he retired from Area Wide Protective Services. Competitive by nature, he once trained in gymnastics for the Olympics. Ron enjoyed watching all sports, his dog Bobo, playing billiards and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Donald Patton. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 25 years, Barbara; longtime close friends, Joe & Julie Berlyak; friend, Rena Jackson; sisters, Bonnie, Nancy; nieces, Jennifer, Jeannette; nephew, David; great nieces & great nephew, Leah, Kayla, Sadie, Jonny; Pastor Sam and the congregation of Firestone Methodist Church.

A Celebration of Ron's Life will take place Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 2 p.m. at the Wolf Ledges Athletic Club, 556 Sherman St., Akron, OH 44311. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Ron's name to the charity of their choice.
