Ronald Bruce Pope

Ronald Bruce Pope, 72, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on November 9, 2021. Ron was born in Akron on January 2, 1949 to the late John and Louise Pope. Ron proudly served in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 31 years. He had many interests, including spending time outdoors and writing. In addition to being an avid reader, Ron was also a published author and co-author of several books. He was devoted to his family and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Richard and Shirley Derrig; and sister, Vickie Pope. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Colleen; sons, Robert and Timothy; brother, Michael and wife, Chris; sisters-in-law, Joan Derrig, Peggy Derrig, Denise (Jim) Garlow, Diane (John) Vardeman; brother-in-law, Paul Derrig; nephews, Matt (Angie) Pope, Justin (Anna) Vardeman, Joel Vardeman; nieces, Correen Counts, Kathleen Meyers. A true animal lover, Ron had many special dogs in his life.
Per Ron's wishes, no formal services will be held. His family will celebrate his life privately.
