Ronald "Ronnie" D. Puckett

The world lost a wonderful character. Ronald "Ronnie" D. Puckett, 68, left us on June 15, 2021. He graduated from Tallmadge High School in 1971. Ronnie was a loving grandfather, an avid Browns and Indians fan, enjoyed sci-fi and Stephen King books, playing the lottery, and loved to bake cookies for his little angels. He spent many years working in the restaurant industry as a manager. Ronnie fought two strong fights - one against alcohol, achieving sobriety for 18 years - and against cancer since 2007. He was also fluent in sarcasm and had a great sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wise Calvin "Junior" and Dolores Puckett, and grandson, Xavier. Ronnie is survived by daughter, Crystal (Jason) Terrell; grandchildren, Jason Jr., Jordan, Chloe; siblings, Barry (Janice) Puckett, Barbara (Tom) Phelps, Robin (Don) Raleigh; nieces and nephews, Laura and Bryan Puckett, Tommy Phelps, Kristy McKee, Corey and Dustin Raleigh; and other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Monday, June 21 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service at 7pm. Cremation will take place at a later date.
