Ronald Stanley Szlag

Ronald "Mr. Ron" Stanley Szlag, 62, of Stow, OH passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Born August 16, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edward and Irene Szlag, he graduated from Cleveland Central Catholic High School in 1972. Ron was employed by JoAnn Fabrics and had left behind many friends and co-workers.

Besides his family and Cleveland sports, Ron also loved the outdoors. His perfect evening was one spent outside with family and friends around a fire. Ron will be fondly remembered for his thoughtfulness and generosity towards others.

Ron is survived by his wife Nora of 21 years, his daughter Rosalynda Dina (Joseph); sons Michael Gonzalez (Leah); Ross Szlag; Michael Kraus (Cheryl); Brian Kraus (Lisa); and fifteen grandchildren. There will be a meet and greet with family and friends from 3-5pm on Saturday November 25th at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, OH 44305. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Humane Society PAWSabilities in Twinsburg.
