Ronald M. Taylor, "Ron", age 78 of Akron, Ohio, died peacefully on Saturday, November 7, 2020 with his family by his side.
He was born on April 23, 1942 in Brownsville, PA, the son of the late Stanley Mark and Elizabeth Marie (nee Maple) Taylor.
Ron was a 1960 graduate of Kenmore High School and was an over the road truck driver for Summit Moving and Storage and Wheaton Van Lines, retiring from driving in 2011.
Ron enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers and his friends and family.
Ron is survived by his step-children, Julie L. Price, Carolyn "Suzy" Harrah, Jack Harrah and Pat Harrah; his nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his two sisters, Janet Bailey and Kathleen Price.
Other than his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sue (nee Shaffer) Taylor; his children, Michael Price; and his step-son, Michael Harrah.
There will not be any calling hours and there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
