Ronald L. Whitecotton

Ronald Lee Whitecotton, 77, passed away peacefully at home June 12, 2024 surrounded by his family. Born in Fairmont, WV to Elmer and Mary (Boyce) Whitecotton, he resided in the Tallmadge, Ohio area all of his adult life. Ron worked at GOJO Industries for 20 years and he belonged to the Eagles Club in Cuyahoga Falls for many years. He enjoyed watching the Browns, tinkering in the garage, working in the yard (he loved his John Deere tractor), having coffee on the deck, playing slots and scratch-offs and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his daughter, Vickie Rollins; son, Jimmy Moon; siblings, Doris, Davey, Bertha "Choo Choo", Jack. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 42 years, Margaret "Peggy" Whitecotton; children, Troy (Heidi), Missy (Mark), Jason, Racquel (Mike), Mike (Heather), Amy; 25 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brother, Tom "Tombo"; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Tallmadge Cemetery.
