On the morning of December 17, our beautiful, funny, outgoing, fearless, joyful, inquisitive, unfiltered, generous, faithful, loving wife and mother ran into the loving arms of her Lord & Savior.
Ronnie was born on September 15, 1940 in Akron, Ohio and lived in Firestone Park all her life until moving to Chippewa Township, Doylestown, Ohio in 1995. Ronnie graduated from Garfield High School in 1958, and married her husband Jack in December of 1959. Ronnie was active in Firestone Park Community Citizen's Council, PTA, Akron Christian Women's Club and was a member of The Chapel on Fir Hill and Fellowheirs & Prime Time A.B.F. since 1976.
Ronnie's joy was in the Lord, her family, homemaking, entertaining family and friends, cooking, gardening, painting, music, wildlife and nature, but especially children. She was Gramma Ronnie to all of them.
Preceded in death by parents Sue and John Hurak an great-nephew Joshua Potts, she is survived by husband of 65 years Jack; daughter Jerri Lynn Anderson (Leonard) of Ft. Myers, FL; and son Jack R. Barnett Jr. (Judy) of Akron, OH. She also leaves grandsons Aaron (Jaclyn), Matthew (Rachel) and Derek (Rachel) Anderson, sisters Carol (Al) Strabic of Orange, CA and Janet Murdidjaja of Franklin, TN, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
Private committal services will be held for her family at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held at The Memorial Chapel, 135 Fir Hill Rd. Akron, OH 44304 on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 2:00p.m. Doors will open at 1:30p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ronnie's memory are suggested to The Camp Carl Ministry at The Akron Chapel.
