Ronnie Lee Craze, age 75, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2023, to be rejoined with his beloved wife of 41 years, Cynthia, in their heavenly home.
Ronnie was the third of four children born August 23, 1947, to Guy and Evelyn (Morris) Craze, in Dixie, West Virginia. Ronnie was a 1965 graduate of Garfield High School. Ronnie worked as a CNC machinist at NRM in Akron, OH for many years. He was considered by his co-workers as one of the top CNC machinists in Ohio.
Ronnie really enjoyed the game of golf and made many friends over the years on the golf course. Usually if he wasn't playing golf, you could probably catch him watching golf or some westerns on TV. He particularly enjoyed letting his son beat him in golf then telling him that he let his son win. He cherished the time he spent with both his children whether it was watching a movie, a football game, or having a dinner/lunch date with them. Ronnie was never one to be short on conversation and was quite the debater when it came to almost any subject. He loved his entire family with all his heart but especially adored his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Evelyn Craze; his brother Edward Craze; brother in-law, Joseph Coleman; his niece, Deanna Craze.
Ronnie will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Denise Craze; son, Ron (Janet) Craze; granddaughter, Regan Craze; grandson, Liam Craze; sister, Linda (Craze) Coleman; brother, Jake (Mary) Craze; sister-in-law, Joan Craze; niece, Christine (Wesley) Williams; nephew, Dean (Angela) Craze; nephew, Robert Craze; niece, Elizabeth Plumley and nephew, Benjamin Craze. In addition to his family he will also be sadly missed by his extended family and also the countless friends he had made over his years.
Per Ronnie's wishes cremation has taken place. All arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44305.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date to be announced this spring. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you treat yourself to a nice dinner and always remember how much joy Ronnie brought to your life.
Take your hardest shot first and then everything after that is easier.
