Ronnie Vickers, 64, passed away on October 1, 2022. he was born and raised in Akron, Ohio on March 2, 1958, from the union of Elie and Louise Vickers. Ronnie enjoyed detailing cars, bike riding, and playing cards and listening to his favorite music. Ronnie was known for his infamous title's for his family and loved one's "Lil Girl" or "Lil Boy". If you caught him home on a Sunday he was for sure whipping up a good meal and watching sports. His door was open to all.
Preceded in light by his parent's Elie and Louise Vickers; brothers Elijah Bartee, Herman (Earline) Vickers, Michael E. Vickers, Larry Jo Vickers; sisters Mary (James) Wyatt, Angeline Latson; nieces Jeanette Bartee, Florence Latson, Tameka Rogers; nephews Bernell Mayfield; great-nephew Diamond Vickers; great-niece, Anjalie Bartee; brothers-in-law Oscar Sharpe, Bernell Mayfield, and Carter Wyatt.
Survived by his son Ronnie (Nykia) Walker, Valerie Phillips (1), Karon Boston (7), Sylvia Phillips (4), Cassandra (Tacuma) Alexander (4), Lolita Castellanos (5); brothers Elijah (Bertha) Vickers, Darnell Vickers, Freeman (Kayla) Vickers, sisters Pearl Sharpe, Shirley Mayfield, Jerline Wyatt, Diane Vickers, Evelyn Garr, Linda Vickers, Lyine Vickers; sister-in-law Juliette Vickers; grandchildren Ronnie Walker Jr., Rylee Walker; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends Carleen Glover, Kevin Hopson, Reggie McGuire, John Thomas, and Harold Weiss.
Visitation will be held Friday from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 12:00pm with Pastor Terry Slayton officiating.
Interment will be held at Lakewood Cemetery.
