Our beloved mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend left us on February 11, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 1, 1940 in Birch River, WV and lived most of her life in the Akron area.
Mom aka MaBear was loved by all who knew her and was known not only as a friend but a mother and a saint to others. She returned that love with everyone, unconditionally. To all who knew her, she loved playing bingo, her lottery scratch-offs and especially spending time with her family and her special companion Precious, who will miss her.
MaBear was a beautiful person inside and out and had the strength throughout her journey of life to leave behind precious memories. She had changed many lives and will be held dear in our hearts forever. MaBear will never be forgotten but always missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother; sons, Matthew and Lyndon; daughter, Rebecca. MaBear is survived by daughters, Donna and Vicky; son, Robert; grandson, Joseph; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother; sister and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A special thanks to the caregivers who gave her companionship and good care, to VNS and Jim Gergon for his many visits, comfort, friendship and prayers.
A celebration of Life will be on Friday February 17 at 6 PM at the Middlebury Chapel 82 S. Arlington St. Akron. Family suggests memorials be made to VNS, Middlebury Chapel or the Animal Protective League.
