Rosalie Mae Ricks

Rosalie Mae Ricks, 85, of Akron, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 25, 2023.
She was born in Rockingham, VA on January 28, 1938 to the late Edward Miller and Kay {Raynes} Cherney.
In addition to her parents, Rosalie was preceded in death by her sister Kay Grasso.
Rosalie worked as a microbiologist for Summa- Akron City Hospitals. She was an avid bird watcher and artist. Her family came second only to her love of Christ, and she carried the titles of devoted wife, mother and grandmother proudly.
On December 28, 1959 she married Kenneth E. Ricks, and they celebrated nearly 64 years of marriage. He survives, along with their son Kenneth E. Ricks II; daughter, Leslie "Kay" (Sanj) Kalra; granddaughters Sophia and Halle.
