Roscoe H. Webb
Roscoe H. Webb, age 75, of Akron, passed away September 14, 2011. Roscoe was born in Linden, West Virginia on March 26, 1936. He attended Spencer Schools and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Roscoe was employed as a truck driver for the majority of his life. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 7490 and Army/Navy Garrison 102. Roscoe is survived by his loving daughters, Patricia (Fremon) Yoder of North Canton, OH, Mary Kay (Jim) Lapp of Coshocton, OH, and Michele (Matt) Himebaugh of Hartville, OH. Roscoe was blessed with two grandchildren, Ashley Lohmeyer of Mount Vernon, OH and McCally Peck of Hartville, OH. He was preceded in death by his son, James R. Webb; mother, Gypsie Alvis; stepfather, Walt Alvis. Visitation will be Monday, September 19 from 11-1 followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
