Rose (Ancona) Kester

Rose (Ancona), 82, passed away on June 4, 2011. She is survived by Fred Kester, her loving husband of 60 years and her special friend Lady, her dog; Proceeded in death by her brother Bill Ancona. She is survived by her brother, John (Marilyn) Ancona; sisters, Jo Sauler, Fran (Willard) Kester and sister-in-laws, Mary Lou Millhoff and Fran Ancona. She was a special aunt and a second mother to many. She was loved by and will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews, relatives, and card party friends.
Rose retired from Akron City Hospital after many wonderful years. We will miss her famous rendition of Happy Birthday, how she made us laugh, and her cutting in the food line on the 4th of July reunions. Rose was a generous and caring person with a heart of gold. All who knew her, know, that there will be a special place for her in heaven and in our hearts always.
Memorial service will be Wednesday, June 8, 7:00 PM with calling hours from 4 - 7 PM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
