Rose A. Chester

Rose A. Chester, 75, passed away peacefully January 26. 2023 from her battle with ALS. Born in Akron, Ohio to Richard and Emma (Coombs) Hoare, she was a lifelong area resident. Rose brought joy and laughter to everyone she met along the way. She devoted her life to being a great mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Rose attended both Garfield and Central Hower High Schools. She enjoyed watching soap operas as well as WWE wrestling and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Virginia, Wilma. She will be sadly missed by her son, John (Patty) Chester; grandchildren, Johnny, Amanda, Jenna; brother, John Bercsik; best friend, Pat Watson; many nieces and nephews.

Rose's family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Rockynol and Tallmadge Health & Rehab.

Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will take place Thursday, February 2 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Bob Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
